After
working in the construction industry since 1958, Van will be on
semi-retired status starting in 2004. Van will remain involved in
the company, however, day-to-day operations are handled by Todd
Smith. Van is an expert in all phases of construction with an emphasis
on water main replacement and installation, and he also holds a
State of Washington Level U Fire Sprinkler Certification.
For fun, Van enjoys heading up North to River's Inlet Resort for trophy Salmon fishing, and showing his 1956 Buick Special in Classic Car Shows. |

Growing
up in a construction family and studying marketing at Seattle University,
Todd was able to jump right into the family business after leaving
a career as a professional wakeborder. Todd's responsibilities include
everything from running the office and company finances to coordinating
all phases of our projects, including estimating. He is our public
relations spokesman and works closely with municipalities and project
engineers to ensure that jobs run smoothly.
Todd and his wife Elisha are busier than ever raising their two
children Sarah and Joshua. Elisha decided to take an extended leave
of absence from practicing law to focus on the family. When time
permits, Todd and family spend weekends at their Mason Lake retreat.

As
wife of Van and Co-Founder of Lydel, Conni has been responsible
for overseeing all areas of the company. Without her, Lydel would
not be as successful as it is today. With Todd taking over the
daily duties of the company, Conni has been able to step back
from everyday involvement at Lydel.
Conni
now has her own 1956 Pink Buick, named "Pink Floyd,"
which can be shown next to Van's Buick in Classic Car Shows. |
